I don't get it...

This is something that's bugged me ever since I got watched by the first watch-spammer... I don't get it! What's the point? Do they think that people will.be excited to be watched by an account that will never actually see their work? Heck, I can barely keep up with the 450 or so I'm watching, how the hell do they manage with 15,000 watches???
These watch-everybody accounts have absolutely no value to anybody, and I can't even imagine what the owners of these accounts are getting out of this. Now, the most recent one is offering a java-script plug in that will allow ANYBODY to spam watch. This is getting out of hand, and frankly I wish FA would do away with these junk accounts. Frankly, it sucks to get a new watch notification, get excited, and then discover it's functionally a spam-bot.
If you're considering doing one of these yourself for whatever reason, I beg and implore you... Please don't.
