Let's talk about: Amonut of Fursonas.
How many fursonas do YOU have? For me, One seems resonable. Two seems egdy, But 15?? And I thought 5 were many...
As I mentionned in my first LT, For me: A fursona is something that's part of you, and not something you just "Toss around."
Now.. I don't quite get why you'd want more than one or two fursonas. Do you just ave diffrent personalities, or is it just that you want to express yourself in more than one way?
Here is the conversation I had with the guy who had 15:
"Thing is, though, they're not just simple bots or proxies of myself...
...More or less, each has their own personality that makes them unique in their own right, if that makes sense.
Granted, they might be my characters, and might...UNOFFICIALLY know as much as me, but each one is very much unique with personality and the way they act.
Nevertheless, when it comes to characters, I only have two fursonas: My official dragon character, and his Pokemon alternate, but every other is a part of my personality personified and made so I can express myself and relax, after a stressful day.
Cypher is my embodiment of my aggressive self, as well as my leader self. Powerful, smart, and leathal, he holds my true rage self, and my 'hulk' self, as it were.
Ammi is more my favorite, and is my embodiment of my whimsical and wiser side of myself, as well as another part of my leader and stratigizing self. Able to unofficially top Cypher in war games, she's a very capable leader, and is generally one of my more preferred characters for one main reason: She's highly civilized and a very caring person. It's safe to say, she's my more compassionate avatar.
Walker is my goofy and laid back self...And since I joined FA, my more horny self. Unable to snag a girl that he can call his own (aside from Shadow in my story on FA), he's having to go on with his life, hoping one day to snag the girl of his dreams...Though he hits on each dragoness he sees, which ends up with him getting a chipped tooth, or another scar on his snout.
Those are my 'core' characters, and my main, original three that have become my biggest part of myself embodied in the form of a very tight-knit family."
Is it the same for you?

First I was pretty much a mega-generic green scaled, grey bellied, fire-breathing dragon.
Then after a few years I decided an ice dragon is more my type of personality, so I decided I'd be an even more generic blue scaled, grey bellied dragon.
Now, that I am thinking of actually getting some art soon, I decided I have to do SOMETHING to distinguish myself from other dragons. So that people aren't just like "Oh. A dragon" they'll be like "Oh! That's Glacius!" --- So I am trying to figure out some new details and finally solidify my character details in stone so-to-speak, but I still consider myself to be the same original character that I created a few years ago... Same personality and everything. Just a new paintjob.
But yeah... people that have like 8 completely different characters kinda bug me. Only if they actually use them all though... like... at once.
Or if they change who they are supposed to be like every other day or something. Met a few people like that and it's SO confusing.
Some people can't see themselves being defined as one character. Some people haven't "found themselves" so they shift between OCs. I know of a few people who have countless OCs and they sell/trade them weekly!... a friend described that as "wearing masks." Unable to be themselves, so they find other representations.
Whatever makes people happy. Honestly, I think it's the people who do have a beloved and well defined fursona/persona that know themselves best and are more enlightened.
But as of today do I have 1 sona, 2 characters, and a 2nd OC in the making.
