you don't need a scanner unless you cant do things digitally. heck even MSpaint can be useful at times. but i would suggest you look into a program called artrage2. there is a free version on the net somewhere. (i forgot the url) just google ambient design to find it. i use it all the time rantoo. i have a decent gallery now too thanx to that program.
