Seizure
Well as the title says. I had another one apparently.
Not a granmal (sp?) atleast so im not sore all over.
Week and a half ago I passed out getting ready for work... only to have problems breathing.. and then passing out. Fell back into the shower which luckily the glass didnt break. Just popped out of place. Went through all the testing I could get done in such a short time. Three doctors all thought it wasnt a seizure (from my epilepsy)... but it came down to Today when I went to see my neurologist.
Unfortunately he decided it was a seizure. And thats all it takes. 6 months no driving (seizure free) which is unfortunate since my job IS driving. Chances are I will be quitting that job since I will not be able to perform. I am not trained in anything else (its a millwork shop, so could be dangerous) and I will not be able to GET to work ontime either.
I will be on new medications starting tomorrow.
I really dont know what I can do at this point guys.
Sorry if this journal does not maky much sense, but Im just not mentally right at the moment
Thanks for reading

so i know what your going through... i hope they can find the right meds for you to help.. and that the side effects aren't that horrible either...
hope everything works out better for ya. *hugs*
The meds im moving to apparently have the side effect of being more alert and focused... which sounds great! But could lead to lack of sleep. We shall see!
... Now might be a time to consider filing an application for a license for medicinal cannabis. A high CBD strain such as Charlotte's web might help a lot (and won't get you higher than a kite since CBD actually works to reduce the euphoria from the high.)
I mean, there's enough evidence to support it's use as a maintenance medication to seriously reduce the symptoms of epilepsy and we do have a system in place where if you have a legitimate need (which it seems you do) that you could use it to help control the seizures.
I know there's a lot of stigma associated but it is a very potent medicinal plant... And you don't have to "smoke" it... in fact, the best way to use it from what I can tell is orally in small doses so that after a while you'll build up a tolerance and won't be all stoney-stone. Barring that, a vaporizer also works without having to inhale burning plant matter (which is where all the nasty stuff comes from.)
I suggest this because if it is negatively affecting your quality of life then it bears looking into imo. Keep an open mind and do as much research as you can before deciding. Informed decisions are the better ones.
I certainly will keep the idea in mind though, least its not bottom of the barrel ideas!
It feels very dis-empowering, knowing that it can strike out of the blue and screw up your life, leaving you feeling like you've been tossed down a six story flight of stairs. Thankfully my medication has helped a lot ever since they found a decent dose to put me on. Phenytoin, 400 Milligrams a day seems to keep it mostly in check. My aura still flares up from time to time but I can usually focus past it. I wondered for so long why I had to be the one in a hundred people to end up with it, but I know there are many worse things I could have ended up with.
I hope it gets better for you. Just don't let it drag you down.
