What is a reasonable price for a yiff comic?
I'm a huge fan of yiff comics and I've always wanted to draw one myself, but I've never been able to make the time commitment required to work on a large artwork project. Now that I'm off from school for the summer and I have lots of free time, I'm considering holding an auction for a yiff comic -- but I'm not sure exactly how to go about it.
I was thinking I could set a bidding ladder so that the amount of pages goes up according to the highest bid -- for example, I could make it so that each $40 added to the winning bid gets you an extra page. So $40 gets you one page, $80 gets you two pages, and so on (I'd probably set a maximum of 10-12 pages). Does that sound reasonable? Considering that I typically charge $50+ for a two-character drawing, getting a fully-colored comic for $40 per page would be a steal. I feel like I should charge more than that, but I don't want to drive the prices up high enough that no one will bid.
What do you guys think? If I post a comic auction, would you be interested in bidding on it?
