Schtupid Journal Ahead

You ever look at things you've drawn a long time ago and whisper, it must be purged in holy fire? Was kind of my reasoning for clearing out my submissions (at least to the scraps section). Everything other than that thing I drew on the weekend is 'gone'.
I used to have a lot of time for drawing, a lot of fun when drawing. Back when I was not-as-seriously-as-I-should've-been taking a college course. Started drawing more sporadically, quite honestly did drawings just in hopes of gettin' faves/watches/notes/fucking whatever. That's part of the reason I cleared out/scrapped my submissions. While there's a lot of good memories attached to those drawings, I can only help but feel a little disappointed with where I could've been had I kept going.
Now that I'm working full time as an electrician, got some other things on the go it's like I don't have near as much time or motivation for what I used to love. I want to get back into that. Spend time on something other than just video games or TV. Something else to do to relax. I'd really like to try and put effort into / pump out a piece every week or so where I try something new, or actually challenge myself with something I need work on.
Whoop Whoop.

I understand that struggle. I don't think I've put pencil to paper in a year. In the "real world" with a "real job," you just sort of...burn out. It becomes easier to consume entertainment to recharge, rather than pouring yourself into another creative endeavor. But it sounds like your creative juices are building up like a tide again, Kye. Keep focused on that, and don't be discouraged if it takes you a bit to get back into the swing of things. :) I think you'll find that motivation and passion again.

Hey there Av, sure has been a while, how have you been.. Easier to consume entertainment to recharge, could not have said it better myself. Appreciate the encouraging words. Will do my best to keep focused.

I'm well, thanks. Extremely busy; you know how it goes. Always something to do at work or at home. Gives little enough time for relaxing without trying to invest time in personal projects and art. But I'm largely content. :)
