25 things your most likely didnt know about me
17 years ago
1. I went to a Fundamental Southern-Baptist private school from grades 7-10. According to them, dancing is evil, teachers will get fired if they go see a movie in the theater, all music is evil unless its Christian with the exception of classical even if thats not Christian, and every Wednesday you have to wear dress clothes and attend Chapel which is where they brain wash you and tell you that your going to hell.
2. I am really into philosophy, religion, and anthropology. I know a lot about the original Bible vs the translated ones. There are many mistranslations, especially about gays. Just ask if you want to know more :D
3. I was officially in the air force as a volunteer with Civil Air Patrol when I was 11-13. We wore camouflage BDU's and hiked and camped in the woods and mountains to train for rescue missions involving downed civilian aircraft.
4. I have studied and practiced many different types of martial arts including: Tang Soo Do (Korean Karate), Shaolin King Fu, Aikido, Arnis (Filippino Knife and Stick fighting), Brazillian Jujitsu (ground fighting as seen in Ultimate Fighting), Jeet Kun Do (bruce Lee's creation), Muay Thai (Thai kick boxing), Ninjutsu, and Kendo (Japanese Sword fighting). I am jack of all trades master of none when it comes to all those styles, however, I have had formal training for all that I listed at one time or another. The ones I studied the longest were Tang Soo Do and Shaolin Kung Fu.
5. I went to school for 3D animation and I have made a few extremely short cartoons.
6. I not only believe in ghosts, but have have even seen a couple before, not to mention other strange encounters. When I was a teenager, me and my friends would go to areas supposedly haunted, or hang out in graveyards at night looking for ghost.
7. I had to beat up my Kindergarten's teacher aid out of self defense. She pushed me down and put a huge bump on the back of my head, I retaliated by grabbing her legs and pushing her into a cubboard full of pots and pans, then she pushed me into a cubboard of toys, then I finally pushed her down back over the pots and pans right before the principal, who was walking down the hall, noticed me, ran in, grabbed me, put me under his arm (he was a big strong man), and carried me back to his office. Needless to say, I wasn't in any trouble. However, that lady, Miss Grady, had so much tenure, the principal couldn't fire her. My grandmother almost went to go beat her up while my mom tried to be more diplomatic. Story goes, she had hurt children in the past, parents would go beat her up and end up in jail since no one would ever fire her. True story, just ask my mom.
8. I am part of the 501st, a star wars "bad guy" (mostly imperial) costuming group dedicated to the Make a Wish Foundation, a charity for children with terminal illnesses.
9. When I was 5 years old, I had a strange lump or tumor thing under my left or right knee (cant remember) which I was going to have to have surgery to remove. However, it mysteriously disappeared one day, and all the doctors and the surgeon were baffled.
10. My grandmother on my mom's side had the last name Tutor before she married. My mom traced back our family on that side all the way back to the original Queen Elizabeth's extended Family (she was also a Tutor).
11. When I was 8 years old or so, I broke off my 2 front teeth with from a skateboarding accident, and what you see now is lamination on the 20% of what is real teeth.
12. I am mixed with a lot of different blood from different cultures and races. On my mom's side, its English, Dutch, Scottish, and Native American(cant remember which tribe or tribes), and on my father's side its Spanish, Native Puerto Rican , Italian, and African.
13. I love going dressing up and dancing at Goth clubs and even won second place in a dance off contest.
14. I can build computers from the ground up and also do PC repair for friends and clients.
15. I portray a pirate for the North Carolina Renaissance Fair as a non-paid volunteer.
16. I was the local champ for the Blockbuster Video World Video Game Championship II (1995) with Donkey Kong Country and won 1 years worth of free game rentals (2 a month per location)
17. I have had some interesting pets during my life, though not all at once of course. A salamander, 3 dogs, 5 cats, multiple types of fish, a hedgehog, coctatiel, 2 squirrels, and a Puerto Rican named Efrain.
18. I was born in the cold mountains of West Virginia.
19. As a baby, I lived with my mom on the campus of Ole Miss University in Mississippi.
20. Speaking of which, my mom was in a hard art class, and she was doing poorly in it. One of her later projects was abstract, and she was so frustrated, she painted a canvas electric blue, and then gave me a drinking straw and some neon orange paint, and let me, as an infant, paint her painting. When I was done, she painted a few strokes here and there for good composition, and turned it in. Not only did she get an A, the professor was so impressed he made it an example to all the class saying this is exactly what he was talking about the whole time. Perhaps fine art is just baby scratch after all ;)
21. When I was 6 or 7, I found a gold nugget style ID bracelet in the parking lot of a mall, which my mom had buffed and got my last name engraved on it. Then she kept it from me, even now. When I was 9, I found an opal ring in the backyard a month or 2 after we had first moved into our new house. My mom also kept this from me :/
22. I had surgery in 2004 to remove a pilonidal cyst which is a birth defect where a cell that is supposed to grow things like hair, teeth, and even eye balls, travels down the spinal cord and ends on yout tail bone. So they had to open me up, scoop out the bad cells, and sow me back together.
23. I used to have a room that was called the ninja turtle room becauase I painted it green (well, tiel), had TMNT bed sheets, curtains, floor mat, trash can, and toy chest filled with the toys. I also had TMNT pajamas, cereal bowl, clothing, watch, and wallet.
24. I went to the Philippines in 2004 for 3 weeks, and it was awesome. I also stopped through Japan's airport coming and going.
25. One time I had a terrible car accident when one day I came around a sharp curve too fast and drove across all this dirt in the middle of the road from construction. I was driving a car that had an automatic shoulder strap and had not buckled the lap belt. I also had the window rolled all the way down. My car ended up fishtailing on the loose dirt on the paved road, I ran into a ditch where they had just installed a huge concrete pipe, my car flipped into the air and rolled over 4 times all the while I had be knocked unconscious, flew out the window, and slid, while twisting, into dirt all the while peeling off my skin in a barber stripe starting with my left cheek and ending where my right kidney was. I broke no bones, but the Dr said it was because I was unconscious and didn't tense up my body upon impact. Needless to say my car was totaled.
