I have had it happen as well, and I will say it here: If you dare to watch me for my works, you had best not hide behind a disabled page. Otherwise you will find yourself blocked, and permanently gain my ire.

They set their profile to private to avoid 500 TY shouts

well lot of people are bailing for alternative sites and shutting down their pages here to focus on them something seems to have torqued off a lot of people. That and there was lot of watch bots that have just be fried by the admins here

     Small trick: Copy the link for that person's page. (Right click on the mouse
should let you do that). Paste it into the browser address bar. Then replace /user/
with /journals/

     Then hit enter. Ping! You're on that persons Journal's page. Which doesn't get
disabled. From there you can get at their gallery, scraps, faves, or send a note.
Or leave a comment on their latest journal or on a sub.

     Possibly a snarky one. What, there are snarky comments on FA? Perish the thought. :- )
