what happened to the podcast
So a lot of people have asked me about the podcast, and for a long time I didn't know how to respond or what my plans were for it, but here's the final situation:
The Test Chamber is officially done. I'm not doing more episodes of it.
Instead, I'm happy to announce that later this summer I'm launching a new TF themed podcast that will follow the format of the third episode: same cast, same level of discussion (read: extremely adult). We're calling it Double Helix, and it should be a really good time. I'm currently cutting Episode 0, which is a re-release of the old Episode 3 with some edits / cleanup.
The next part I'm not saying on behalf of anyone else or as any kind of spokesperson; it's just me.
Because I know questions are inevitable, this is what I will say regarding my decision and the reasoning behind it: I'm starting over because of a super unfortunate personal situation that eventually culminated in a whole lot of being treated really badly by a third party, to the extent that I'd rather just be done with everything involved and start fresh. One of those things is the podcast.
That said, the goal of the show was always to be about sex and community and friendship in the context of this weird thing we like. I love talking about this stuff and I think just having that discussion out there is important; sometimes just knowing other people think about and talk about it, too, is enough to make you feel a little better and less alone. I never wanted to let anyone take that away from me, but I almost did, and I'm sorry for that.
We have a really good topic for the first new recording, so I hope you'll give it a shot! See you on the internet airwaves soon, guys!

It's just a name, anyways. :3
I'll be looking forward to seeing "Double Helix".
Thanks!
I enjoyed the Test Chamber a lot and it was obvious you guys had a great time recording it too.
In all seriousness, I feel jokes and asides are inevitable in any non-scripted podcast, and cutting their tangents short could annoy people who are interested in them (like me), just as continuing them will annoy the people who aren't. Perhaps if there was an introduction segment, recorded after the episode, that summarizes what was discussed, including significant tangents, that would prepare the listener ahead of time, and perhaps remind repeat listeners where that one discussion is at.
