A Short Discussion About Gideo Vames
Okay, so quite a few games have caught my attention, but I've finally compiled a small list of games I actually want to buy immediately. And I mean IMMEDIATELY, as in put down money as soon as I have it for the pre-order on Amazon or whatever. Now, the first one is mostly out of necessity, due to my sheer lack of a Wii U and all the awesome it has, so the first one is going to be Mario Kart 8. I am REALLY not sure I should be even playing a New Super Mario Bros. game without cheating because all of the complaints from everybody saying Nintendo has made nothing truly "new" thave circulated since that game came out are finally starting to make sense. What DOESN'T make sense is their criticism of Super Mario 3D Land and 3D World, both of which I actually WANT, because it's actually a little new. Well, 3D World moreso than 3D Land. Yes, the cat suit powerup is a LITTLE finnicky, but we've dealt with bad gameplay mechanics before. *COUGH* SUPER MARIO 64 *COUGH* Most likely going to buy 3D World a lot sooner however, due to finally having the console to play it. As for Mario Kart 8, I do kind of want it, especially if it doesn't do that stupid blue shell bullshit in Wii that REALLY makes me want to say "fuck this" and use someone else's hard work just to unlock all the courses and quietly run time trials to my heart's content. Not sure if Mario Kart 7 is any better. Let me know. All I know about that one is that Neo Koopa City is FUCKING AWESOME TO LISTEN TO!!! It's like Mushroom Kingdom Bad Future or something!
...I call it Neo Koopa City because that's a way less lame name than "Neo Bowser City." The name "Bowser" to me doesn't exactly sound threatening to me anymore. It's about as threatening as "Dr. Eggman" at this point.
Now on to more relevant things! Do I want Professor Layton VS Phoenix Wright? Hell yes. I want to buy it. I want to buy it with my face and rub it in my no-no place. Do I want to play it? No. Not until I get the other games of their respective series so I know what the fuck I'm doing. Moving on. Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire I'm obviously going to get since I got back into Pokemon finally after skipping a generation like a silly bastard. I already have plans as far as getting Pokemon from past generations, even though some will inevitably show up in X/Y anyway. If anybody has a legitimately good reason why I should give Nintendo $5 a month for what's essentially Pokemon Box X and Y, let me know. And also let me know if nobody really has a problem with it, because I'm not sure if I should entrust the security of my Pokemon to the fucking Cloud. Just saying...oh yeah, and I'm getting what side games don't suck, as well as the third gen games and up so said master plan can come to fruition. It was actually during said planning that I was thinking about making a "gamersona" of sorts for myself that's a Zoroark in some kinda Trainer clothing, but it might take me a while until I decide that's what I wanna do with my image.
Besides, I might confuzzle people. Including myself. <_> Game Freak should totally make a Pokemon Pinball X and Y, by the way. Make much mannies. And people named Manny.
Oh yeah, I should probably talk about it while we're on the subject. Super Smash Bros. 4. Am I going to get it? Yes. Am I going to get both PORTS of it? Of course. I'm enough of a sheep to do so even if one port turns out to be really uncomfortable to play. Will I let you kick my ass at it? Oh, definitely. Feel free to record it and everything. I'm a lot more likely to embrace defeat if good friends and acquaintances beat me up. This also applies to Pokemon. But here's a little house rule about that one. No Legendaries or Mega Evolutions please. This isn't fucking Pokemon Stadium, where you have a reason to be an asshole. Don't give me a reason to learn how to destroy your precious team of Legendaries using Magikarp. As for Smash Bros.? Eh. Anything goes. Just try not to hog the Smash Ball if you can help it. Let EVERYBODY have a chance at seeing Mega Man's Final Smash. Everyone should taste the Mega Buster Rainbow. It's a delicious rainbow.
I should probably bring this up too. I was really confused when I heard about the Smash Bros. Bundle. I thought there was going to be a Wii U involved in it. Nope! Just the game, the Gamecube controller, and the adapter for them. That's it. El Fin. No Wii U, no Amiibo figures(that I honestly might call trophies before long), nothin like that. Shame, but sometimes you gotta think about how much the customers have already spent, I guess. As for the Amiibo trophies(See?), if people like GameStop, Best Buy and Amazon sell them, and they're pretty much right there, readily available, I think I'm gonna go ahead and pick them up. I just hope this, y'know. Actually works. I like the idea of leveling up a fighting character if it isn't mind numblingly boring and actually has a point. Yeah. I'm looking at YOU, PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale. As for what else will come of whatever news we get of Smash Bros., I'm going to take it in stride. I know I'm not going to get everything I want. Besides, there's always mods and hacks for that once they become available, and no video game company in the world is honestly too tenacious or too "strong" for hackers to crack their machines wide open.
That's about it for now, but seeing as I'm a Sonic fag, there's pretty much a guarantee I'm going to get Sonic Lost World. Why? Because I'm a Sonic fag. I'm almost legally obligated to buy these fucking games nowadays...speaking of which, I REALLY need to make up for lost time on Steam. I STILL don't have either of the Adventure ports for it! Or the racing games, for that matter.
