Traced from what?

Well I had a whole spiel with the pictures explaining but essentially I'd make a photo collage, trace the lineart and then freehand the colours. You can see them over at my deviant art page.

Umm... don't most major artists trace things? I saw it for the brief moment it was up and I thought it was awesomely original. I don't get why they're being so crazy about tracing the base pose.

pfft, no idea. I'm bummed but its ok. I have them up on Deviant art and if I want to do an explict one I'll put it up on giantessbooru. I think its missing the point of traced work in the AUP as thats to stop stealing and plagurizing, which these definitely weren't. Oh well, it cleans out my account and keeps it much more anthro-centric!

Checked them out there - awesome stuff, btw - the mature goddess/giantess one is a very original idea. :) And yeah, I guess it keeps things a bit simpler here. I just have to get into the habit of checking stuff there more often. Just be sure to put some good water marks on your stuff cause DA is known for stealing/using stuff from the artists without giving them any heads up or compensation.

I would be super, super surprised if stuff got used for anything.
And thanks, I think the backstory sells it but I really love how the image came out.

Yup, was a bit disappointed how someone evidently went through my submissions and did a "purge".

Really they made that because of that pictures . . . So what is the difference on taking a reference from like a 3d model then , what also a lot of people do ?
Well on ther other hand pictures of people belong to the people on then so copyright is a bit difficult .

I guess someone was just beside himself because of human art .

I'm not an expert in copyright law but I don't believe that this technique infringes upon copyright. It would fall under Fair Use. In any case all the images posted here were personal works, not commissions and so not for profit. The lineabout sketching in the AUP is designed to stop people tracing other people's artwork and then call it their own. In my view the rule has been wrongly applied but meh.

well this runs in a grey area pretty much . So what i know you did was nothing more then what all other people do when they do collage pictures on some random sites but with a lot more effort . But whats the difference to for exampel all the pony art then its the characters and art changed as well . For me not enough to throw the pics of the site but i guess they wend a bit out of the normal way because not furry -_-
