I'm a bit stressed out because everything's been going crazy lately (dental work, tires going out every other week, water heater flooding the basement and needing to be replaced, AC breaking, car headlight going out AGAIN), but other than that I'm doing okay :D

Ohhh good luck ;u; Moving is such a terrible pain; my mom moved a lot when I was younger, and then I've moved out of my mom's, and then from a friend's into this apartment and ugh. As much as I'd like to get an actual house, I always get tired just think about getting all this stuff down three floors.

So yes, I hope it goes smoothly for you guys! And I hope even more that you're able to get some extra help. Things were kind of bad but they're looking up again for me! I am in great great spirits today *u*

oh my GOD moving is such a pain in the ass... luckily this time we are actually hiring movers so I don't have to bother trying to wrangle my enormous damn couch. >_> We live on the third floor too. I've moved 5 times in the past 6 years I am SO DONE with moving omfg

And I'm... pretty good! Some good, some sad. But, that comes with working at an animal shelter! For every sad story I see, there's at least three good ones. It's just a matter of looking on the bright side, and doing your best in the situations that aren't so bright too. On a happy note, I got to help feed some baby kittens, and that's definitely a mood-lifter! It was my first time doing it all by myself, and it was definitely a sweet experience The littlest is small enough to fit in my hand, and it's the biggest eater too! The little thing kept licking food off my fingers and mewing for more, even after 9 milliliters worth of kitten food! X'D They all are probably about 2-3 weeks old... And so very cute ;w; their momma has a bit of a kitty cat cold, but hopefully she'll be back to take care of them real soon! Feeding the kittens is fun, but I think she's much better at it than I am XDDD

the new place is SO SO SO NICE. It's a little smaller than our current apartment, but the way it's laid out makes the space more useable, if that makes sense? The kitchen and bathroom are especially fucking adorable, and the floors and furnace and ac unit are all really new! So my gf and I are both really excited about it, hahah.

I remember you mentioned you got a job at the animal shelter! Sounds like it would be SO hectic, but really cute and fun too. ;w; I wanna snuggle and feed baby kittens toooo...!!!

Makes perfect sense! Where we live now has a problem with usable space, definitely... Or maybe we just have too much stuff XD And that's wonderful, enjoy the hell out of that new stuff! :o

It can be really hectic, but it's also kind of enjoyable in that way, I suppose. Unless it's a serious emergency with an animal's life in danger, it can be almost fun, running around to help get bedding for a cage, or extra food and toys. I also like to think that I function pretty well under pressure even in the more dire situations, but it's hard to evaluate that honestly :'D Not to sound like an awkward spokesperson, but... volunteering at local animal shelters is a good opportunity to do just that! Ours does kitten foster care programs where they pay for the food and supplies for the babies, you just take care of em until they're big enough! Maybe not soon, but that would be a good way to get to feed and snuggle babies if you ever want a shot at it! :D It's messy work though, little kittens are expert mess makers!

Oh! I should specify that it's a no kill shelter, so that makes it a lot less sad! We only euthanize when it's for medical reasons... A lot less sad stories, thankfully :'3
