Anthrocon 2014: A Look Back

OMG. Honestly this past AC was the best con I've been to BY FAR. And in all honesty, it was made so because of all my wonderful friends and the amazing staff and panelists of AC. I can't begin to put down everyone's name. But You all know who you are that made my AC just the BEST time!! Here's a small recap of my adventures this past weekend.
ThursdayMy husband, 
and I headed out from our home in the Philly suburbs around 9 in the morning and had a very smooth ride. Not much traffic and the weater stayed nice the entire time. It doesn't take us too long to reach Pittsburgh. It's jsut a straight shot on the turnpike pretty much :p We stopped in Monroeville at their Pirmanti's because we couldn't contain oursleves any longer and NEEDED some of their deliciousness NOW! :p We made it to ou hotel, The Renaissance, and moved our crap in. Now I would NOT recommend the Renaissance to any other fursuiter. The hotel is abut 5 city blocks from teh convention center and is jsut far too far to be a comfortable walk. Esepcially when you want to get in and out of suit throughout the day. So becuase of this I ended up staying in suit far longe than I would've liked jsut so I wouldn't have to walk all that way back to our hotel room.
We hit up Sushi Kims (OMG sooooo good *drools) for dinner with 
and 
and it was lovely :) The dance that night was great too, but a combo of alcohol and pure tired-ness put me to bed "early" around 2:30am.
FridayThe big events of the day for me were 
and 
's KPop panel and then the Preliminaries for the fursuit dance competition. I was so nervous all day about prelims I honestly thought I was going to throw up :p
Skye and Symphony's panel was absolutely AWESOME! I didn't aprticipate too much caus eI wanted to save my evergy for the prelims which took about 2 1/2 hours to complete! But MAN was the panel fun to watch! Great job to all! I hope You two put it on again next year!
The Fursuit Dance Competition Prelims were utterly amazing! EVERYONE was fantastic! I wish we could've accepted everyone into the finals. And Congrats to everyone who made it through! I'm so proud of everyone! And I'm ESPECIALLY proud of all teh grrldancerfurs that we had represntin' this year! Holy Crow! Great Job!!

But to my surprise I actually made it to finals! I was so freaking happy I couldn't contain myself! Honestly, i was some fierce competition this year and I'm honored to dance with every single person who tried out <3
Saturday My big events of the day started early and just kept going! I swear I spent almost the entire day in suit!
It all started with 
's Rooftop Dance Video. I loved the cute choreography for this! I can't wait to see the final cut!!
Straight from there I had to run downstairs to be in the Fursuit Parade. I was dead tired from being up on the roof in the hot sun dancing but it was SOOOO worth it! I got to walk with Coopertom and 
and they kept me laughing the ENTIRE time! Haha!
My other big event that day was Floor Wars! And HOLY SHIT was everyone Fantastic! Honestly I think Iw atched the entire thing with my outh hanging open from the shock of all the awesome-ocity around me! I was kicked out in my first round by the ever-awesome Caw the hyena. So of course i didn't mind! Haah! He TOTALLY deserved to win!

SundaySo Sunday started off with me not sleeping well and just being so gosh-darn nervous I could barely eat :p I was so anxious for the fursuit dance competition I could barely function. So I sat down in my hotel room and listened to my song on repeat for a while. Dave wanted to go and see Lee Tockar and Jim Cummings (the guests of honor) speak, so we went to teh convention center early. While on our way there my sunglasses (the huge surprise for my dance final) broke when we were like 50 feet from the convention center. So I had to (in full fursuit) walk the 5 or so blocks back to the hotel to grab my supplies and fix my sunglasses. Oh yeah, and you bet it was hot as balls out there...
But I got back to the con safe and sound and prepped myself to compete!
Honestly EVERYONE brought their A-Game! I had an amazing time with everyone, meeting new friends and seeing members of my dancerfur family! I love each and every one of you and I honeslty couldn't ask for cooler people! <3
To my HUGE surprise I won the Novice division of the dance competition! HOLY CRAP!! I still can't believe it! And the wonderful compliments that I got from people just blow me away and make me feel SO good! Thank you to everyone who gave me great feedback through various social media. You all make me feel so great!

So all in all, AC was AMAZING this year. I can't wait to get to my next con! Love and miss you all TONS!
