I have been wanting to ask you for a couple pics, but I am always afraid to do that because I never know if the artist is overloaded or not, so that's why I never asked >_<

I won't charge for commissions, even though the dragon models weren't free, I probably still won't charge for them...

I had the exact same problem when I first started getting in the furry community about six years ago. There was a point when I was rather anxious for some renown, seeing as the popular artists were always doing commissions for someone, I figured I'd do the same, hell it sounded like great fun actually to draw other people's ideas for them. I did not charge anything during this time either and yet still, no one came to me for anything. I advertised my services a lot, and still... no one wanted anything. The reason is that you don't yet have a name for yourself. No one really knows about you and your art just as no one knew about mine. You have to get it out there as much as you can. It took me forever to start getting commissions but when they hit, it was because I started getting recognized for a person who is willing to do scenes of unimaginable horror, hence this is what people come to me for, often. You do inflation... but then so do many others. YOU need to make yourself stand out from them some how, either from making an individual style for your art, or just presenting yourself in a more dynamic fashion when spreading your work around.

Also, I remember what one person in the community said to me long ago, "I'd rather pay for something because I feel more secure about it." The suggestion of paying for something is usually accompanied by a certain level of reassured quality towards whatever services their getting. When someone asks for a request, they really don't want it to turn out crappy so they just go for a commission. Its a rather stupid social habit which many of the furs aren't even aware of, but then again... furries in general are flakes.
