Made it into USA Today!

Looks like this movie project Betty and I are in made it into last week's USA Today! Picture #6 is my fave: up close and personal! ;)

Had some more all-night filming on Friday into Saturday, tho they didn't do anything with the autos until the last ten or fifteen minutes of the work session...about 5 am! So I and the other drivers had little to do since 6 pm the previous evening. Which struck me as a waste of time and made me reconsider doing any overnight work moving forward. Until, that is, I was tagged to take Betty through this one scene they were working on. Then it made it worthwhile.
Interesting thing, that shoot. They staged the cars (which only included four others) for additional filming, but they didn't get to it. So, to keep continuity, I have to come back for ANOTHER all-night session on the 25th. I'm hoping, however, that this time will be a lot more exciting, as a car chase scene is started from here. If nothing else, I should take some pride in the knowledge that Betty was among those five hand-picked luxury cars to help recreate 1979 Greenwich Village, NY (which included a '66 Triumph, '67 Mercedes, late-70s BMW, and a '71 Pontiac).
Not that my weekend was complete just yet, mind you. Am I REALLY that bat-shit crazy to put in a full day at work, then immediately head out for filming going all...night...long...and then soon after set out to spend the day in a wool uniform in the summer heat at a local CW re-enactment? Apparently, the answer is yes, yes I am...

FA+

[had some issues with the trailers for the set of Carol, as it blocked a tight 2 lane road] just thankful it wasn't on my route.
If the weather holds, the night filming I do on the 25th could be a lot more fun. In addition to it being the beginning of a chase scene, Michi will be coming down to hang out with us, and Betty will get to work with her BFF and big sister from the cruise-in we like to hang out with. Looks like my friend Chris and his girlfriend will have Betsy, a '72 Olds 98, will be in on the shoot, too. If it works out the overnight hours should be a lot more fun to pass with fun company.
