My birthday came and went. No surprises, no presents, and the only balloons I got were the ones I got myself. I guess the older you get, the less you can expect. Moving on. Smooch has really been living up to his name. He jumps on the bed and sits on my chest or lays across my neck and nuzzles me constantly. Danny is still a bit jelous but they get along fine otherwise. Danny has taken to sleeping in the bathroom sink as it faces my bed and he can keep tabs on the both of us across the room.

I'm anxious for spring weather so I can get my recumbent trike out and travel the Nickel Plate trail. It is a converted rail line that currently goes from Rochester, IN to Kokomo, IN with a future expansion in progress. There are a lot of old railroad lines in the state that are being converted to paved bike and hiking trails. I suspect someday you will be able to travel across the state without having to deal with highway traffic.
