Digitigrade or Plantigrade?

Hey y'all!

So I'm finally in the process of getting Uskie a proper reference sheet, as I want to make things easier for future commissions and my fursuit.

Uskie has always had a bit of inconsistency when it comes to feet. So I was wondering, what is your preference? Digitigrade or Plantigrade?

I initially wanted Uskie to have Digitigrade, but over a few commissions he has been drawn as Plantigrade. I have never given them a preference, so its interesting to see the comparison between the two. What are your thoughts?

I prefer digitigrade. It gets a bit more realistic with that :3 Plantigrade is a bit too human to me, but that's just my opinion.

Yeah I understand. With Uskie, I am ultimately thinking a more realistic look like Digitigrade, since he does like to act feral. :3

Im one of the rare few it seems who prefers plantigrade. I dont know, digigrade just... doesnt appeal to me. AGAIN... thats just me though.

Yeah I do like the idea of taking a paw and a human foot and combining the two. Some people like human feet and paws equally as much, so it makes sense.

I like digi but some planti is good too. I just dont like planti that has human like toes.
Either grade would be cute for Uskie. Btw cute icon!!

I tend to draw my characters with human legs and then paws on tip toes so it's almost digi not quite haha. When it comes to fursuits I like the digi look myself but not the extreme look, just a bit of padding to give a more realistic shape. When it's just plain fur pants it look boring and shapeless compared to the rest of the suit with the big head and tail. It makes the legs look noodley to me. But that is just me!! When it comes down to the ref sheet go with whatever you think would look the coolest in future commissions :D

Yeah I do like the way that you draw legs! It's the style that I was thinking of going for. And I totally agree - Plain fur pants almost look like trousers haha. It will likely be similar to what you've done in past commissions for me :3. Thanks!
