First of all, thank you for a successful auction. I appreciate the help from those of you who shared my links. I was able to cover the expense of my trip home, and I'm really looking forward to both the trip, and the suit I'll be making!
Unfortunately the trip did still wipe out my finances, so I still have to adjust my focus on work that will bring money in immediately or I'm not going to have money to feed myself. Since fursuits are large, time consuming projects, they've fallen to the side. Due to the circumstances I will not be able to work on suits until I get back from my trip in August, when I will be working on them almost exclusively. I know I said three weeks ago that fursuit work was starting up again, and you have my sincerest apologies. I had every intention to start fursuit work this week, and last week, and the week before. The truth is, I'm having trouble figuring out how to schedule myself in an effective way, and until I find a system that works, it's going to be sporadic. My latest scheduling effort is in this journal.
It seems I am able to concentrate on only one kind of art at a time. Lately I've been on a digital art spree, and both traditional and fursuit work has fallen behind. Now that I've finally figured out how to use the digital medium, I've fallen in love with it. While I did push projects aside, exploring digital has reignited my passion for art, and as a result I've been drawing more in the last month than I have in the last year. This has been extremely good for me mentally! It has given me the motivation I've been seeking, and I'm trying to keep the energy flowing as best I can.
I still have my down days, but it's getting better. With this much needed trip coming up and some exciting projects on the horizon I'm keeping a positive attitude, and a positive attitude makes for good art.
Current Schedule
July 16 - July 25: Finish all outstanding 2D commissions (digital and traditional).
July 26 - mid August: Recharging my batteries with family and forests.
Last half of August: Finish dragon partial to completion.
First half of September: White wolf full suit (Going to try and get this done in one week.)
Second half of September: Other suit work (werewolf, and a made-to-sell suit)
October: Back to 2D art (and Halloween themed commissions! Werewolves anyone? :D)
I'm going to do everything I can to stick to this schedule. I feel good about it. Thanks for the encouragement and patience everyone. I want everything to be worth the wait!

it's lookin' like I won't have my suit for Geekkon around Labor day. There's always next year. And yeah, I am a Cubs fan

We negotiated a November deadline I believe (MFF) right? If you wanted it sooner I needed advance notice. I might be able to swing it with express shipping, though no promises.

I thought I said something like I'd like it by labor day, but need it for MFF. if I'll wear it this year, that is. I'm low on funds, so if I gotta shell out more for express shipping, nevermind, as long as I get it by thanksgiving, no problem.

I really hope so. I dunno when I'll be able to save up enough to get another one.
