Beautiful, and adorable creatures, Arctic Foxes. I chose the Arctic fox due to it being, well, arctic. I love the cold, and the coloration is simple, the way I love it. The teal markings are just to help add some flair to an otherwise 'black and white' appeal when on paper XD

My character actually has Three different stories, but that's neither here nor there :D

Humm.. was quite a evolution over the years I must say, was not really much of thought behind it though. It just did "feel" right.
As for markings she dun really much of those, however her collar has its origin in Second Life as the first item I ever made there
and it has been following ever since ^^

I love foxes, but i also prefer cold weather, so choosing to be an Arctic fox was a very easy descision for me. My fursona has no real body markings because i prefer to keep a low profile and blend easily into the pack, or snowy background out of sight.

The really epic thing for me is that the super-epic artist who created my fursona  zedzar is Russian, so he was born in a perfect acceptable climate too!

Arctic foxes adapt to fit the world around them, and that's how I always used to live my life. My fursona is all white, save for grey of the tip of hir tail and ears, because shi represents how I finally stopped making myself fit the people and situations around me, and finally accepted myself as I am. Arctic foxes are also chubbier in their white fur, because they need the added fat to survive through the winter, so shi also represents my acceptance of that part of myself.

All-in-all, Mika is a representation of who I truly am, and always have been, after years of being told to be someone else, and the arctic fox is the perfect species to do that in.

I have a love for foxes, arctic foxes seem to break the typical red fox look.

first off...I love foxes...secondly...winter and snow are my favorite season type stuff...thirdly, I absolutely love Japanese mythology so an arctic kitsune was perfect for me

Well... Long story but my character started out as a red fox (based on a game of Scion where he became a deity) and I adapted him to FA... eventually making him an arctic marble fox for a couple of reasons, one being that they're adorable and another being that I don't agree with how FA considers red foxes.

My character's backstory is highly controversial. Technically my character's a kitsune (not the kitsune Archives version, but the much-older, pre-Korean influence one-tailed variety) which also means his history is extremely long. Having lived since the Heian-era up to 1945, and his story continuing in the spirit world... as one might imagine the story could take a very, very long time to tell especially since he did quite a bit in those years, not all of it dreadfully important but Hikari is quite an active fox.

That said, odd you should bring this up at this time because I'm planning on creating a new setting for him... one that's less controversial and more entertaining. ^w^

Choosing so many years ago was very difficult. I had to choose between arctic fox, snow leopard and ermine. The arctic fox was so beautiful, though, I couldn't be anything else! I chose my favorite colors and marked myself in a simple yet recognizable fashion and here I am!

Oddly enough, I really don't like cold weather at all!

Hmm... My character looks mostly like an arctic fox but is actually 80% arctic fox and 20% white tiger. The white tiger part gives his short soft fur, not so good in the winter time. His fur does not grow thicker in the winter time. (He hates the cold). His tiger side also gives him a longer than normal tail, but still fluffy like a fox. And finally, two tiger stripes around his middle. In the front his stripes point down, in a rather lewd fashion, to his crotch. He hates his stripes. He finds them embarrassing and despite all the artwork, never takes off his shirt in public.

He was born in the year 2243. He grew up in an arstocratic environment where he was shuned for not being a proper, full breed arctic fox, his family included. His own mother despised him and was extra hard on him. Throwing him outside in the snow with only a t-shirt and short, trying to force his body to grow thicker fur. It never worked and once almost froze to death. (His father saved him when he came home from the office) So he did not have a happy childhood and ended up becoming bitter towards the people around him.

There's a quick back story to my main character.
I created him because I think Arctics foxes are awesome, and cute. But he needed a flaw. And I wanted a way for him to keep his white fur coat year round. So I mixed him with a white tiger. Plus he LOvES milk. X3

Super fluffy! No markings, but black hair. I have a thing for monochromatic characters. I didn't want to be a cat, and though I like red foxes, arctic foxes appealed to me more.

I almost couldn't have worded it better myself, heh.

Pretty much for the reason that I've got some arctic fox blood in me. My personality is mostly foxlike, with the tendency to prefer my rooms ice cold. If I'm kinda chilly, the guy sitting next to me is most likely going though hypothermia~

But I have some markings on me. I have a pawprint birthmark on my right shoulder, and my character has green hair with a green stripe along the bridge of my nose, along with strips on the wrist and a green tipped tail. I'm known as a minty fox because I normally in arms reach of something pepperminty and the colors reminds others of Doublemint or Wintergreen~
