what does 'Avalon' mean?

This is a really good question! The name Avalon is most heard by the legend of King Arthur. Because of the legend of arthur the name Avalon means for some mythologist the "afterlife" because they think the Island Avalon was the tomb of King Arthus and his love. But older legend say that the island Avalon means Appleisland. It's i think its come from a irish legend so i not well know of everything about it.
The funny fact is in turkey Avalon means in real apple field. Its surprised come close to the older legend.

Now the next question ist why i choose the name Avalon. I dunno since i was 6 or younger i call me Avalon or Avi. I am not sure maybe the dragon side of me have a deep connection with this place and maybe there is some magical about it. If someone ask me that i always say that i not really know how i get my Name.
