Help!! Commission never arrived after a year from BlackRat

Sadly or not i have huge problems to get my finished art from blackrat even trying
to put it on artist beware only wait for aprove.
Now before i solving it there i post it here what i think is the right thing to do so pleas read it and if you can help me out i would
be happy.

Commission Blackrat and wait still after one year of my finished commission
I hate to finally have to write this, but I feel I have no other choice…
Over a year ago, I requested a commission from Black Rat (http://black-rat.deviantart.com). The commission order was placed during November of 2014 and had contact with him mostly over steam (sadly steam not save messages). As per his commission rules, he required half the money up front which was 120$. I pay him promptly and then wait for at least 2 months. After this time, he told me that the comic was completed and that he needed the other half of the payment…so I paid him (another 120$).

As you can see… if you click on that… there’s NOTHING there!
I informed him of this error and he promised to send it via email… THAT WAS OVER 10 MONTHS AGO!!!
I have tried many time to contact him: I have emailed him repeatedly AND on his multiple email accounts. One of them is closed because i get a error message.
I try to reach him over steam but never get him online. I ask some friends that order commission to to help but without any success.
So it’s come to this. I’ve commissioned him in the past with little to no issue. But it seems more and more he takes longer and longer and longer to complete ANYONE’S work. Not just mine.
In the past he has claimed that he’s had health issues and the like, fine so be it, however not sending ANY kind of communication is unacceptable. I HIGHLY recommend you ask more reputable
artists for work, who can actually keep a schedule and has proper communication with their clients.
This behavior is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE! He may have nice art, but his customer service could be much better as now.
Please if someone get in touch with him remind him to all the commission and mine he not finished or showed before he
takes new one and i sadly say but i would recommend not get a commission from him atm.
I really want to end this drama and not wanna think about that i lost now 240$ for a finished peace i never got it hurts my hearth to that i am a biggest fan of blackout
being threats like that. Its make me very sad and i think after this i am not really a fan of him anymore.

reminds me of Leonardo Da Vinci, the greatest artist of the Italian Renaissance, but many of his "greatest works" so to speak, were never completed and/or never delivered to the nobles or groups who commissioned them, also delayed on them for years later than promised and was more interested in his more personal projects than the stuff people were paying him to do.
kinda parallels Blackrat in the TF fandom today. i wish the guy'd do the right thing and announce he's quitting the fandom and deliver everything he owed thats completed up to that point and refund everyone else, THEN he can vanish... cause it doesnt matter how good an artist he is. you cant just dissapear without a trace like that with undelivered shit thats been paid in full like that.
i really think spreading the word about his unreliability as a businessman is the right thing to do in this case, i feel for you dude, and its a damn shame it had to happen from someone whose art we TFers idolize in this fandom...
So, I feel you on the long wait thing...
I have 5 more pages of the Rooth'roo grow sequence in queue with BlackRat, for much longer than other people have waited (and other people have commissioned and received art in that time).
I'm extremely patient, though.
I believe if you go to A_B, you might never see your art, even though it may be done (though he never showed you, right?).
If you wait, and just keep gently prodding him every so often, you might get it.
I recommend this to EVERYONE who ever has problems with a commission, of any sort whatsoever: Always always always set up a date of completion ahead of time. At the very start. Even if you don't have a deadline in mind, ask the artist for when they think they'll be able to get to it. Then, and only then, are you both on the same page with regards to timing expectations. It doesn't guarantee completion, but it gives you the clear upper hand, and makes A_B complaints (if it comes to that) a lot more clear-cut.
I do know that it's easy for him to go into major withdrawals/seclusion, and things like your post to AB will almost guarantee it. In other words, if you want your art eventually, don't post to AB just yet. If you want to warn others away from BlackRat, then definitely post to AB. I'm sure if I were in your shoes, that would be a tough decision. Go with your heart.

But yet, he's got all my money already! I say report the bastard wherever you can. I understand that artists are humans and have issues, but to go THAT LONG without sending even 1 communication about his whereabouts? WTF?!
I also see he still has time to play games on his steam account...
