whenever i do a commission for someone i find myself looking at the art other artists have done for them and every other picture looks better than mine and i imagine they feel ripped off and that makes me even less interested in taking commissions
i really dont like my art but that is what comes out of my hands so im stuck with it - i used to think iwas pretty good but i dont think that anymore

I'm sorry you feel that way dark.
But hey, you can always ask those artists for tips.
please dont' stop them... *PLEASE*..
Besides, artist are always harder on themselves and there craft then anyone else.
We commission, follow, etc your art, page because of what you do put down. Not because we compare your art to what artist "Y" does or how artist "Z" colors.
We like your art for how you make your characters, for how your color, for how you do things. We like your art as it is, colors, anatomy, composition, Doctors, assistants, etc. Personally, I love the way you draw all of your art, even the landscapes etc. even unfinished, because they show me something new and different... dare I say, even vibrant.
Ya, you know how you could have make this better, posed that more, colored them differently, but the rest of us see what you do and we love it.
Keep up the good work, i know love to see new stuff from you.
always remember, the best customer is a repeat customer.
Also, I've been sucked into the Furoticon furry trading card game, and this new set reminds me of you. There's a whole set of cards that revolve around this cult of herm/shemale vore vixens that worship their potion-drinking master, Kuushik. Like literally, vore is a big part of this game, ha ha.
When we commission you, it's because we like how you draw and that style.
Imagine trying to improve your techniques if you weren't able to be aware of your shortcomings?
I have learned that when I am working on finishing art, I start to focus in close, and become aware of every bad micro-decision in how to 'ink' a line. Most often I have to admit to a limit to what I can correct and how obsessively I can steer the pen. It becomes more important to determine when to stop, and accept that the picture can be 'done'.
An hour or so later, I can be happy enough with the finished results -- even though I know the imperfect choices I made are still there.
What I see when I look at your art is that you are painting Fine Art visualizations (or perhaps Museum-level Outsider Art) with cartoon-style and cartoonist mind. I think "Juxtapose" magazine, or "Jim". You are unique in design, concept, and created mythology. You are already There, and your technical improvements might only be needed for technical reasons & internal satisfactions.
If you choose, it will be easier for you to technically match the other artist that you see, than for them to match the ironic/affectionate interior landscapes you already share.
I've always considered your style singular, as well. It never crosses my mind to compare it to anyone else's. I just enjoy what you draw, because it's so specifically unique and, in my opinion, extremely well done.
Seriously. What do you hate about your work? Change it.
I've felt this way too. What you need to do is believe your own hype just a little. An artist isn't creating a functional thing, your art can't be measured in horsepower or nutritional value (here come the sex jokes). You need to believe that someone is commissioning you because you're the only person who can create your very own brand of art. Otherwise why are you getting a commission? Why not someone else who's cheaper. I know art can have a quality, and can be so aesthetically achieved. But a fan is commissioning you because they want you personally to do something for them. If you truly are 'stuck' with your art, what is there to feel (dis)passionate about? If it is what it is, people are coming to you for a reason other than what you personally prescribe to be.
We all watch your FA page because we want to see more like what you have done, therefore you are our definition of good.
As for your personal satisfaction, I suppose that can only be helped by recognizing a direction you want to move in and taking steps to develop that way.
