But no, me personally, I was expecting a little...something. IDK, there is just SOMETHING I look for in every movie to make it that AWESOME movie Ill love and Tell myself I buy the DVD for, but I never will.....This movie didnt have that...SOMETHING.
Now before you start thinking Im the one guy who didntSplooge about Rocket like the movie, the movie was still great. Totally ignoring Rocket; because he is obviously a giant highlight, I liked everyone; especially Groot, Drax, Yondu and Nebula. I honesty liked their characters more then Rocket
Im not going to spoil anything about the movie, but I feel like its pacing...was maybe a little too quick in some areas...course what COULD they do in some of those time frames. The music was a little off putting in a few scenes, and it has a few cliches and bad lines.
The movie also looked like it ripped a couple things from star wars (Well, just 1 costume, and 1 scene I swear I saw vader and the Emperor)
But all of these personal gripes, the movie was alot of fun, it had alot of great humor, had great action, of course Rocket was beautifully animated (Well with a few shading and lighting hiccups I noticed), Yondu's actor took me the longest time to remember, Christ Prat was great, & Dave Bastista for me is the highlight, because I just did not expect him to be a good or even decent actor.
Overall...I give it 7.5/10
Great Movie, just....didnt have a few things I loved that the other Marvel movies had.

Im super excited to see him join the ranks of Wrestler-Turned-actor now and I have high hopes. Maybe he could be as great as Dwyane Johnson, and Steve Austin
I just hope he isnt going to be a 1-hit like Triple-H, Randy Orton, and John Cena. Or that one guy in The Marine 3 (hate him as a person...but he was...a DECENT actor)
I am not ashamed to admit Rocket is a huge draw for me I love anthros. In my opinion he was one of the best fleshed out of all the characters. I am not saying Drax, Quill, Gamora and Groot were not good, I just felt Rocket fit the role of being who he was suppose to be the best. I did enjoy Chris Pratt as Peter, I loved him since I first saw him in Parks and Rec, his role of Andy was awesome. Dave Bastista was also great but I am not surprised he can act, he has done it for a living the WWE is allot of acting.
I liked both Thors, Dark World had more action and stuff going on, but I liked the 1st one. Its the 1st Captain America I didnt like, because it felt less like a Captain America Movie, and more of a Build up.
Getting back on track, no, of course Rocket is a giant highlight, one...lol, we are a community of Anthros and animal lovers....when I first saw the trailer, yes, he was my main drive to get excited at first. I only knew Rocket in Marvel Vs Capcom 3, I never heard of Guardians of the Galaxy till then, and this Movie was my perfect chance to know them.
If anything I just wanted to bring abit more attention to the others because they were great too, and EVERYONE already talks about Rocket like he was the main character lol.
Groot was fun too. So innocent, and so deadly <3
Gamora was my least favorite. Her character, I feel went from Kickas assassin, to Safe Loving Love interest WAY to quickly
