it's basically free, but to like get a furry character you have to pay in lindens, which is in game money. which can either be gotten from getting some kind of job, or putting actual money in to the game to buy a certain amount of lindens.

and yeah it takes a while to get used to XD I've been on second life for like 7 years and I still don't know everything yet lol

Ah ok, I'll try the job thing out, don't like putting money into games I'm not sure I'll continue lol

Hehe yeah, it's fun though, I've met a lot of good friends on Second Life

And yeah it is hehe. I'll go on for a while each day, but then sometimes I'll take like 4-5 month breaks and do something else hehe

Yes, people commonly get frustrated with SL because they can't figure out what they are "supposed" to do for the game. But really it is just a virtual world, you do what you want and how you want to do it.
