Any cosplayers ?
Hey, I was wondering if there are any cosplayers who watch me here who could help ? :')
In oktober I'd do it for the first time, and I had bought a costume but there are still some things that have to be changed. One thing is some sort of belt with this logo on it; http://img1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb.....mate_Guild.png (it's kinda hidden, but you get the picture :') )
What's the best way to reproduce something like this ?

A family friend appears to have a workplace that I might be able to use. I also have super sculpey, but I'm afraid that would look absolutely awful ?
How much detail are you going for? If you want to see every detail, your looking at a resin/plaster mold job. Very time consuming and hard to do on a first time project.
How functional? If just for the look alone, improvising can be done. Example would be a toy wrestler belt trophy, breaking it down and working off of it. Any moving parts adds complexity that needs to be thought of before construction and not just an after thought.
I will certainly look at it :) Although, I'm only looking to make the logo as I already have the right piece of cloth for the belt itself. (and I could use the old belt that was in the package as example. The size of that should be right)
Thanks a lot for the help! It's really appreciated <3
Simple way to go to build off the old belt is form clay on it. After getting the shape you want, this will be your mold.
If you want flex, a shrink wrap job would be a good option to secure it together as a finished product.
If you want rigid, cover the mold in aluminum tape and get a fiberglass kit. It's basically a cheap mold process.
