I grew up on Whidbey. Not a whole lot to do there. Some nice camp grounds, the biggest town, Oak Harbor, has some nice restaurants. Should stop by Seabolts and grab lunch or dinner, really good seafood. It's next to the farm supply store and across the street from the big parking lot where Safeway is. Dugulla Bay Farms, on Highway 20 going into Oak harbor, has really good ice cream and waffle cones for really cheap. Lots of good stuff there too when it comes to produce, jams, stuff in jars, etc. Not sure if they're open for long on Sunday though.
Heck, It would have been nice to now that...I am just south of there!!! Bad, Bad Fox for not telling!!! }:=b
...it wasn't the nicest weekend up here. It was THE first rainy weekend in months! I hope you had a chance to stick around for a bit! Travel safe! }:=)
lived on a boat in lake union. a very small boat. made it out through the channel and back several times, to bremerton and widby. way back in the mid 70s and only for less then a year though.
sort of wish i was back up somewhere in that direction again.
