Friday morning somewhere between 3 and 4 AM we got the call. My mother in law passed away.
Patty and I are now both officially orphaned.
Gonna be hard here for awhile, plus losing 2 days of work for bereavement on the days of her funeral and burial, us contractors don't get those days paid. But, she's no longer suffering, she's in a better place, and back with her husband. After all, 62 years of marriage, you can't stay away from each other for long.
" ... and flights of angels sing thee to thy rest."

My condolences
And remember, she wouldn't enjoy seeing you all sad and moping for long.
Being sad, true, thats in the nature of things.
Just try to remember what she would have said when you'd be a little boy and sad about something you couldn't change anyway.
Most likely she'd told you to think of happier times, and go forward.
so be safe, and be well.
That is the idea.
