It's a tough market. Very hit and miss.
Sometimes I make around $250 a week for YCH's
and sometimes it more around $50 so.. :p

If people don't want ywhat you're selling at the time just relist it a couple days later. :>

hmmm! my YCHs never really sell for much so i'm not sure i could be of much help...solo stuff may be a good idea, or maybe pics with more than one person where there's only one bid for the whole picture? i had someone autobuy one of mine that was like that once and it was the most i've ever made off a YCH haha!

Maybe do something a little more different than "ych"? Perhaps try adoptables or maybe something else that may strike your fancy? If you constantly do the same thing, you're bound to burn out. Nothing negative here, sweets. Your art is great, but perhaps you are pushing a little too much "YCH". So try something new and see where it leads you! <3

In the meantime, maybe try a "YCH" theme with something a little more romantic? Maybe a couple snuggling, or perhaps a romantic dinner with a theme of something popular? (I bet a lot of folks would go for a YCH with a Guardians of the Galaxy theme to it!)

honestly, i've always wondered if it's because your art is so available
i'm not sure how to word this.

there are a lot of artists who do nothing but YCHs and rake in all sorts of cash and customers, artists with audiences a lot less impressive than yours- i notice the difference is, art for others isn't available so often. it's kind of like a tease. people start wanting things and they can't have them, they get more and more frustrated and excited, then they practically throw themselves at any opportunity that arises.
that's such an unhelpful suggestion, though, because as you've already stated you sort of need the money now and for important things. maybe what bearclops said, more multi-char YCHs with one bid for the whole images- i can't speak for anyone else, but i know that there are a lot of times i've neglected the thought of bidding on an auction (as if i even had the money lmao) because i couldn't get past my OC being with someone else's; a character I could dislike or potentially be discomforted by, or would just cause the image to "disappoint" me because of some random joe with my child.
maybe more fetishy things is a good idea, too. if it makes you more comfortable, start with your fetishes. i'm sure there's a large portion of the fandom that really appreciates stuff like watersports, or eggs, or whatever. branch out from there if you like how it goes- or maybe just start off the bat with all sortsa nasteh thangs ¯\( ᐛ )/¯
what about some of those "a night with my character" auctions? see if you have any babes your watchers really like, see if they wanna go so far as to pay for the frick frack. that coul still be a YCH- and half done already since drawing your OCs is (assumingly) easier

i'm not really sure, tbh, my luck is extra shit with any sort of business at all
