Change is scary, man. No matter what positive comes of it, there are things that will never be the same again, and it's natural to miss them, and to worry that the new things that rush in to fill the void won't be as wonderful...or just plain won't be *the same*.

My wife's jobhunting, my best friend moved to the opposite coast. In both cases, it's clearly "a good thing," but the change associated with it's scary as hell. I think anyone who's ever been there before, themselves, completely understands.

I will try very hard to be one of the "neat, new and awesome things." I will not pretend for a moment that this mitigates all the scary, though.

Sir, you have ALWAYS been a source of neat and awesome! It is very cool we are going to be in closer proximity, and is definitely one of the niftiest things happening in this change. :)

I seem to clam up when I'm dealing with issues. Seeing what you've been going through and yet you keep going has been inspirational, and helps me pick myself up and keep trying. <3

Sounds like a hell of a change.

You'll love Florida, though, trust me-- especially during the winter. It's a little crazy, and so are some of the natives, but it's unlike anywhere else.

This has been more change than I was expecting, or, I was not as ready for how it would affect me? Either way, being back with Jess is immeasureably good, and makes all things possible and all problems less difficult.
