Thank you everyone for your participation this week with the initial mascot vote! The votes of yesterday's poll are all in. This was an exceptionally close competition, with many choices nearly tying in terms of popularity. But now the choices have been tallied up, and the two animal types that won are:

#1: Cervine
#2: Feline

This means that for our mascot we will be choosing a cervine and a feline to represent our group. The next step is to choose the gender of our mascots. We're looking to have one be male and the other female. However we'll let the lot of you decide on which species gets one gender. So, please let us know which you'd like to have be female and which you'd like to have male. Don't say both female or for one to be both genders. You can however say "I want a male feline," and we'd just assume the cervine will be female.

(And to answer all questions concerning a mascot design contest - YES, we will definitely be having one of these. Stay tuned for more details!)
