a writing that just might be possibly worth reading but idk
11 years ago
So as few people know I used to be a very respected writer amongst my peers and I left my pen and pencil behind to buckle down on mu animal care career(to the disappointment of my professors) So today at work I wrote the rough draft of something for shits and giggles. Again this is a lazy wip (my signifigant other is a drummer to explain a bit of background on this) so please keep the criticisms respectfulS
We receive but one heart in this life.
It will break
It will crack
It will bruise
It will shatter
And sometime it will be drained, but never emptied, even when it feels whithered.
But this heart will always heal, mend, and put itself back together.
Even if it sometimes needs assistance.
And then it will fill once more with memories of love passed,
Love we are so fortunate to feel for all things big and small in this gift we call the present,
And love for all of the good that may be in the future, sometimes called hope.
Every heart beat beats with the drummer playing that special tune to your life.
Millions of beats.
Thumping and pumping the tempo to your smile, as well as every essence of your being.
And it was in that moment, when i saw yours.
Mine stopped.
Mine skipped a beat.
The rhythm stopped.
Pure silence.
A melody of uncertainty, fear, joy, and certainty.
That I learned truly, and surely, this symphony was love.
The beats resume with synchronizing smiles and harmonize.
