Character reboot + Incoming Storywriting
So this morning I started doing a little writing focused around my character, and I decided there are some things I don't like about her.
1) Gender - I no longer identify as non-binary gendered, so I don't want to complicate my character by adding non-binary gender into the mix. She's complicated enough without that.
2) Name - I've been a little dissatisfied with the name I picked for my character - both her birth name (Máocì Isatuu) and her assumed name (Závada LaCroix), as neither Závada nor Máocì are real given names, and Isatuu is not a real surname. Also they seemed cop-out names since I picked them because they meant "Glitch" in another language (which I don't even speak). So I've decided to give her a new name: Yu Lin Isara. Isara is close to Isatuu but is an actual Ryukyuan surname, while Yu Lin is an actual Chinese given name. (Because of my own personal study of Taoism, I wanted her given name to be Chinese.) Yu Lin also means "Honorable, Beautiful Jade" - since my real name also derives from Jade, that seemed appropriate.
I'm keeping Závada since that's my account name and I don't want to move again, but its role in her story is diminished - it's now an assumed name she uses for business dealings because it's obviously fake and keeps her anonymous. Outside of business, she uses a large selection of very common pseudonyms to try and confuse any paper trail she leaves behind day-to-day.
3) Codename - She now operates under two codenames, "Glitch" for her personal vendetta against her government, and "Jade" for her freelance work.
I've updated her reference sheet and rewritten a lot of her character sheet to accommodate these changes.
Not that anyone really cares, but, there it is. :) In case anyone does care, anticipate a story being posted some time in the future.
A real story. With no sex. At all. Not even a kiss! I know right?
