Well this sucks...

This is one of the few wolves who will growl or hiss, depending on the person i am looking at.
need to have my car towed to a shop since we can't get it running.
The starter works, but the fuel pump is not doing anything.
I replaced the fuel pump with brand new parts the day it got it.
I changed the relay today. Can't get to the distributer since the cap screw are shredding with the slightest pressure.
So it's $60 towing fee + parts + time
I am pissed, I replaced the battery yesterday now I need to pay more to get it fixed at a shop.
Being an unemployed full time college student sucks. I got my financial aid refund Friday, it looks like all of it is going straight into my car.
I need rear breaks worked on which I am going to do myself. I have to pay to get my car in working order.
At least my sister is going to taxi me around until my car is fixed.

FA+

Though I do hear of faulty fuel pumps straight out of the box. Try to get them to honor some kind of warranty.
On nissan they tend to get clogged with oil
But seeing as the screws were stripping like a how knife to butter
I couldnt check it myself because i didnt have screw extractors
If i had a job i would have a shopping list a mile long of tools i need
I've only put 280 miles on it since I got it.
my uncle got it a month before he sold it to my dad, so he shouldn't be at fault.
I just hate that I get my first car and 2 months later it breaks
Must be more issues that popped up.
It happens. Tis the chance with used cars. Save the new battery for sure, and maybe the relay. You might be able to sell that online.
needs fuel lines, brake lines, back brakes, another new fuel pump, and several other things
so they called and said that it should be running if I get a new fuel pump
which I don't know what my dad did with the receipt so he will need to find it before we can get a new pump since it was under a 2 year warranty
but still I really hate that the pump lasted about 42 days
If he used a credit card he could get a proof of purchase from them too.
I agree...they should last longer, as much a burr under the tail as they are to replace usually. (I assume electronic, not mechanical?)
It doesnt help that my dad forgot whwre he bought it
O.o Well...certain parts places only carry certain brands. Maybe once it's out it will give some clues.
