I've heard that management is interested in a cartoon with Freddy and his friends. Now, I don't want to put management's nose out of joint, but as it has made ...uhm, poorly choices in picking vendors for costume spares, I don't think they will choose the right studio for their target audience...
I think the idea of the animatronics wanting to get rid of the night guard because they think he's a scary monster has potential, but I've seen it done better in Pac-Man fanfiction.
