Why I Cut School

"I stand here today to say what has already been said, but I say these words in hopes they will not fall upon deaf ears once again.
I am a man who loves different people then most, so I must ask what is wrong with me wanting the same thing we all yearn for? - Love, equality, and understanding.
America is facing a morale crisis. We [America] claim to be a free nation when I and others like me can not gt married, become a school teacher in some jurisdictions, and even partake in something as simple as a date.
I ask not for simpathy, but understanding of how heavy my heart is when I know I am unable to get married and raise a family - Which is truly the only dream I have.
And so, I will end with this:
I stand here as a true American because I stand here in bravery, courage, and most importantly - in the pursuit of happiness. This bill, bill HB 436, is only one step in our long journey, but out first step is to seperate church from state and have the voices of the people finnally heard.
Thank you for your time - I bid you all good day, and good luck" - Michael Pratt
I got out of school early today, FEB - 5 - 2009 to go to the capitol of New Hampshire to promote gay marriage in the state of New Hampshire. This is the speech I gave to the state reprisenators.
