I get so tired of both sides of the price wars...

If you can't get more than $X for your work, then that's all it's worth. It's not fair, it just is. Why do you think I don't draw for people? I know I can't get what my time is worth to me so I keep my art time for myself. If you can't make it on your art alone, and you're always begging for money, perhaps it's time to consider getting a day job. It beats begging any day. Believe me, I've done both.

It doesn't matter if you don't think their art is better or He/She doesn't have a degree. When you're Hir Awesome Majesty Queenie Pants Popufur Artiste, you don't have to draw for chump change anymore. You have a sea of panting furs begging at your feet and shoving $100 bills at you for the privilege of having their character drawn by you. Either get in line and pony up the dough, or go fricken' hire Bucky McAverage. If they're really "just as good", why didn't you want them in the first place? They probably need the money a whole lot more anyway.
