Didn't get the house + overcoming art intimidation
11 years ago
Even after putting a deposit on the house, the seller decided they wanted to take it off the market. We did get the money back but I'm pretty pissed that we were so close and have to start looking again.
Anyway, now that I have my tablet working again, I really want to work on art that I owe. Earlier today, however, I had a mild breakdown while trying to warm-up. Currently looking at other artwork, watching inspirational videos, listening to music, and participating Inktober to help overcome this ridiculous intimidation.
I'll get over it~ Going to brew a lot of coffee to drink while drawing later today after tending to my animals.
I can fuckin' do this.

As for the art intimidation! You can do it :3 your art is really nice! Keep watching inspirational things and looking and stuff! I find that if I try out new brushes and stuff it really helps me cause new brushes are fun x3 there is a wealth of brushes for all programs on tumblr!
Good luck!

Good sources of inspiration for me are webcomics with less polished kinds of art but with good / interesting / weird stories. Homestuck, Prequel, Demon Eater, things like this. Not that I can really call their art 'unpolished' but a more accurate word eludes me right now. Also scrappy yet interesting projects like MisterHinotori's oddball improvisional story : http://www.furaffinity.net/view/14481283/ , or things like Rubyquest : http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2635526 (original by Weaver).
I find that if you can eat a lot of interesting ideas, you can squash out the performance anxiety by sheer volume of cool things you want to try. Sometimes. Maybe. I dunno.
I certainly hope you get your momentum back soon, your art has always been the most deliciously adorkable :3
You'll end up like Tweek.
Uhm, I don't see me and
