I never thought I'd say this. But I' beginning to hate my job.
Seriously.
Today is my only day off this week because the SAME GIRL decided she's going to london on friday and guess where I'm having to go?
Work.
Because some stupid little girl can't handle a tooth ache for the day. I've had her, my district manager and my district managers 2nd hand on the phone telling me I have to come in after I've told all of them that I physically can't because I have people coming here at the end of the day and I have a meal to prep and cook for said people. I've had to move my day around, rush everything because one girl can't be bothered to do her shift. And she has the cheek to be annoyed at me because I said I wouldn't cover her shift at the weekend in her store because I actually want a day off?
Not to mention two weeks ago they worked me to illness because nobody else could be bothered to come and give me a day off, and last week I was made to work in the busiest store in our district and then found out I'd be on my own. Until the end of the day because their staff don't get that "Come in to work" Means "HEY, you need to come into work you bloody moron!" Apparently it means take the night off why not.
They're telling me off for things that happened on days I wasn't in my shop and helping out OVER GOD DAMN SHOPS BECAUSE THEIR STAFF ARE SHOCKINGLY SHIT and was actually the managers/covers fault not mine. I'm sick of it.
And God forbid I have actually plans on my days off because chances are they're not going to be days off at all!
I'm tired, my health is all over the place, I rarely get to see people because I rarely have days off where I have the energy to do anything. I work overtime to make sure the shop is perfect anyway in case we get special visits. I'm too tired in the evening to work on anything personal.
And do I get a thanks or a sincere apology? Like fuck do I.
