I don't have a lot of experience with Photoshop but I have never really liked it but I'm trying to change my opinion about it because I know it's a better drawing program to use. However with what I have used I notice that PS is extremely laggy x.x I'm not sure if it my computer or not.. My comp doesn't even work with certain programs >.> Like GIMP no longer responds and I have uninstalled and re-installed it over and over again and it just refuses to work on my computer.. :\ I just want to move on from SAI I mean it is a nice program but I still feel very limited with it... Not to mention my tablet doesn't preform as good as it should with my comp :\ Actually I plan to back up all my art and completely restore my computer to see if that will make it function any better x.x

What I need is opinions about photoshop, such as which program should I use? Are they laggy or not? I just don't know what to do but I need to move on from SAI x.x I plan on doing a bunch of trials and just pick one out to actually buy but I don't even know where to start...

I have the trial for PS elements 9 but it's extremely laggy and just a pain to work with >.<
