Gnah! Don't cut their roots! That's were all the eye teary stuff comes from.

I usually leave the root on... but the person that peeled them had already taken the root off! *sobs*

Well some people just want to see the world get blurry...

there are also sorts that don't sting as much. if all doesn't help, cut them underwater. the water catches the sulfuric stuff that stings.

:O Cutting an onion underwater would be complicated? at least if you were trying to dice them small? XD;

of course, but cutting them in half and removing the trunk piece is possible. unless you want to go directly towards onion soup. :)

btw, I've never tried it myself. I either bit down the tears, or caught sorts that weren't as stingy. :)

Haha, I've actually tried a few of the tricks people have told me about. So far out of all the methods I've tried the easiest and one that sort of works is leaving the root on XD;
I don't know what it is but I seem to get the angriest onions! D;
