Hard Drive Failure

Well after two weeks of trying, it is evident from the noises from the drive that the spindel is broken. In order to get the machine working I needed to reinstall windows twice and flash the bios with my old supposedly broken hard drive. So I lost my back up, and am now mostly working off a usb drive for fear of another crash.
The problem couldn't have been avoided, as it was a hardware failure.
What does this mean? All the commission work I had done over the break was lost and I need to start again. Also I no longer have photoshop. Should homework let up and I make it to the spring vacation I will invest some money into CS4 and a new Westeren Digital Drive.
My apologies to everyone waiting, as I was about to send out updates when it happened. The blue screens just kept coming, and I fought for over a month to keep the thing alive thinking it was a video card, memory or driver issue from advice I had from people and forums.
As of now I only have OC on my computer to do things with, and I will have to make due with it. I have a scanner so work can continue at least with traditional sources.

You're right about the time. Pluging it in=5 munites. Installing OS and drivers=a lifetime.
i hate waiting, but knowing only some of it would be worse.
