Next time you have submissions, use select all and remove. This will clear the 'ghost' submissions. Nuke bugs up sometimes.

I've had this problem before. Wait until you get a few submissions, then click "Select All" and then click the blue box "Remove All" for that category. DON'T NUKE THEM. That's what causes the glitch on occasion for me, cuz I nuke submissions all the time.

This happens to me as well... I currently have three submissions and one journal that refuse to be deleted. I have nothing in my inbox either. Just the notices that won't go away.

The image or comment is still there? The reason I ask is I had an odd issue where it was still telling me I had submissions to view when there was nothing there.

After many many days I saw that and it works perfectly. It's an odd and mostly rare glitch yet somehow slightly annoying.

My notices show that I have 1 Submission and 1 Journal when I have nothing.

just dont nuke too much, nuking cause ghosts to remain behind

I've had this problem, but clearing your browser cookies should get rid of it

I've heard its when people have too many uncleared favs, journals, watches, etc. Takes the server to long to delete them and the query times out.

I've had it as well... for a loooong time.

I can't say for submission notices - I've never nuked 'em, and have over 285,000 in my inbox and counting. But I have never had that problem for comments/favs/other notifications.

this often happens to me after FA has been down, and the servers are lurching back to life. Give it a day, it should start responding normally.

I'm just having a problem where it says I have comments, submissions, journals not read yet when there aren't any. Was stuck on 1 unread notification but now stuck on 2. *shrugs*
