Quitting Adopts and Art for now- Big purge coming
11 years ago
General
Adoptables and art are a luxury. They are a luxury I was able to afford and enjoy while I was working full time.
I'm officially moving on december 1st and going back to school in January. I'm also leaving my current job of 5 years and will go back to working on minimum wage (I was making way more then minimum wage at my current workplace)
On top of that I have to find a way to get rib of my car (which I will not be needing anymore since I'm moving to the heart of the city), work on a short film for my portfolio (which I have to film before winter), help a friend on her own short film, find a new job and pack my things and move.
I also am alone in this journey, my parents are very bitter that I am leaving and won't be working for them anymore, so they sre showing very little support and 0 sympathy. I can't count on them to provide me with any financial support, seeing as their reaction to me going to university was ''you should get student loans''
This is a lot of change in a very short time period. My life will not be the same and adoptables and art will be things I will not be able to afford. They are things I do not have time for anymore either.
So I am getting out of adoptables and art and will be selling most of my current designs
I have a lot already for sale that I would very much love to get rib off, and I will be selling more in the next few days. All this money will be going toward my university/moving funds.
It's hard to let go of those designs, seeing as I do really love them and got a bunch of them from friends, but it's something I have to do.
I will be keeping for sure: my nus (Andromeda and Ausar), my thrill (Minuit), my scarftail (Phoebe), my luminette (Tasha) and my space dragon (Pollack/Audrey)
Everyone else will probably be up for sale. If you have the funds and are interested in buying any of my characters who isn't in the list above, you are encouraged to contact me.
This is a very hard decision to make, but you have to learn to let go, and this is me letting go for now.

super sorry to hear about your situation though, i hope breaking away from art and stuff helps make it easier to manage. i wish you good luck on your studies too, and hope you find enjoyment in that!
I suppose it's more of a matter of ''I have to make decisions now to be sure I am comfortable in the future since I will be on my own'', so I had to decide where to cut, and adopts are a luxury so they took the cut first.
Thanks a lot for the well wishes! I'm really looking forward to go back to school after two years doing not much with my life.
