I'm thinking of getting it, but which version? I'm running Windows 7 and have a Bosto Kingtee graphics tablet.

Just did a quick search here and apparently that was just a misinterpretation. It seems they were just offering an alternate way for people who had bought CS2 to activate it, or something like this.

yeah, but Adobe has no way of keeping track of this or make people stay honest.

Nope! Adobe had to turn off their verification server for CS2 so they had to distribute it with a version that didn't contact that server anymore.

I've always used Photoshop CS6 Extended but it costs quite a bit.
