I first started picking up the manga because I loved the scene in the anime with Mayuri Kurotsuchi, so I picked up the corresponding volume of the manga, and soon after I was collecting that series for a while...

so when the ending had him not in attendance nor showing up to aid the rest of the captains (though Kenpachi Zaraki was still a nice touch, as he's one of my other favorites along with the obvious choice for a furry of Komamura) I was a bit saddened.
The small bit during the credits with him and Nemu was cute, but far too short.

Also, what was with Yachiru having something different in her hair in her final scene with Kenny? they hadn't shown that before, right?

Something interesting that I don't know how to feel about, was how a few of the Visords were suddenly re-accepted into the Soul Society/Gotei 13.
Though I get it that they were just re-filling the positions that were re-vacated by Aizen, Gin and Tosen.
Perhaps this was something that was shown in further detail in the manga... I haven't had the opportunity to read it since the Hueco Mundo arc.

finally, I thought it was a shame that Ichigo got a new sword design, but barely got to see him use it, let alone how we didn't get to see The Man In Black/Zangetsu at this point either...

I agree with what little we saw from the ending but their is a rumor which I hope is true that bleach will be reanimated once the manga ends.
The manga has a lot more then what was shown.
