I was looking into the Yiynovas too but the last time I looked, none of the models had erasers on the pens. XD Maybe I'm picky but I hate the idea of having to switch to the eraser tool all the time instead of flipping the pen over like I'm used to. Other than that, I would go for the Yiynova too.

Wacom has a patent on the pen eraser (I shit you not). They also patented the batteryless pen technology so every other brand has to stick a battery in theirs.

Yes, both of these technologies are blindingly obvious applications of existing concepts. Welcome to the patent system, enjoy your stay.

I tried the small yiynova. "Tried" is actually a strong word... I plugged the thing. The plug broke inside the damn tablet. So I have no idea what it's really worth but the plastic and construction is obviously cheap.

Went on a gamble and recently had the MSP19U+ bought for me. I'll give info when it comes!

I just have a Cintiq 12wx, it's an older model but people sell them used now for like $400
I'm in love with it. They now have new wireless ones that are great but honestly any cintiq is 100 times better than a regular tablet IMO.

I bought mine used, I'd check ebay or craigslist because they are pricey but I would say they're worth it. They've sped up my productivity at least three fold so you definitely make back the investment.

I did the same, though I think I paid about $700 for it. And by me, I mean the school did. I've had it for several years and have yet to change the original pen nib. The only flaw is that I wish it was more travel friendly. I have the new medium Intuos, but I prefer the cintiq.

YEEEEESSSS. the new cintiq companion or something is way more portable but I'm just not ready to drop like 1200 bucks when my tablet works, single year. Taking this thing places is kind of a hassle...

the new Yiynovas are actually really awesome. I recently got a cintiq companion myself (windows not android) and its great. If you want something that IS a computer get a companion, if you dont want to shell out the big bucks for a large cintiq pick up a yiynova. My roommate used to use a yiynova, so I played around with it a lot and it was great. the new ones also have an IPS display.

My bro just bought me one for Christmas. I'm still in shock. XD

I use the Cintiq 12wx. As  enjoipandas said, its and older model but you can get it cheaper now. I love it. The only issue I have with it, is the amount of cables, makes it kinda annoying to take mobile if I want to sketch at a friends house, or even in a different room.

Okay so I bought the Cintiq Companion when it came out (256 GB Windows). A long time ago I wished for a simple tablet that could be taken anywhere and sketched on, but I also wanted to use the programs I wanted and not be forced to use some app. So this is it - it's finally here. There is an issue I had with mine that after researching many people also had, that is when it's plugged in it doesn't charge. This is likely because of using it while it was plugged in and it gets insanely hot which messes with how it charges. I'm currently sending mine back but I've read people who send it back several times. When I brought this up to them they extended my warranty from 1 year to 3 years.

Now on the use of it, it takes a bit of getting used to, same as anything. I spent a while binding all the side buttons and the dial menu with the pen then was able to work very efficiently. The final coloured result is a bit off, things look a bit different on every monitor, when I saw the results on my actual computer they seemed faded and very light, the jpg was also a weird quality. In the future I would only use it for sketching and linework, maybe filling in colours but would finish up the rest of the work on my computer.

Sometimes I play hearthstone on it, it looks cool, it's a bit picky about internet so I drop from games occasionally or have a hard time consistently staying connected to wifi in a hotel. Overall I'm really happy with it, because of its relevance to my job I get to write off some of it so the 2k wasn't the worst thing (and maybe I don't treat myself often otherwise), but this was such a big deal for everything I always wanted so I practically had to get it.
