I use open source painting software called Krita for my art; it essentially re-ignited my creative fire early this year when I discovered it. As a dedicated user I was asked for an interview recently which I happily took part in. Whenever I see conversations about free software crop up online, I don't often see Krita mentioned which is a huge shame as it's fantastic. It has a few issues which are being worked on (it's in heavy development atm) but I love its brush engine so much! It's seriously worth giving a go.
