With the exception of Sita Elfane, all others are born with the potential to manipulate an element. The primary source of this elemental energy is expelled through their hands, but more skilled Elfane can harness their energy from various other parts of their body as well (ex: Fire breathing). As children, the Elfane must train their skills if they intend to use them to their full extents as an adult. It's uncommon for a young child to harness any dangerous amount of proficiency in their elemental ability.

Primary color: This color is determined by the Elfanes element and cannot be changed. It is the color of their tailtip and primary markings. Elfane are mostly monochromatic, being made up of all neutral colors + their primary color. Browns, tans, grays, black, white and other colors found on natural mammals are found on all Elfane. A Vayu Elfane's primary color is purple, so their tailtip will be purple and the rest of their colors would be a natural mammalian shade, or a shade of purple. A Vayu cannot have bright reds or greens in their fur.

Secondary color: The secondary color is element specific, but not entirely binding. This is simply a color that the Elfane feels an attachment too. It may be their favorite color, or show up in their favorite foods. Perhaps they have a particular like (or dislike) of the element that corresponds to that color. The secondary color does not show in their fur color, but may be present as an eye color. Otherwise, it is simply a strong preference for or against something that relates to that color.

Anala Elfane wield fire elemental magic. Inexperienced Anala can generate heat but after lots of training, they can eventually control fire, or create it from nothing. They're associated with the Mulahara chakra, and their lotus has 4 petals. Their primary color is red, secondary color is yellow.

Anala Elfane are stockier than the typical Elfane. They naturally develop muscle more quickly and they have heavier bones than others, so they tend to have thicker arms and legs. They also sport longer fur than the typical Elfane. It's common for them to sport excess floof around the neck, shoulders, back, and many other areas of their body. Tied with the Hima, they have the longest fail fur of all the Elfane. Their coat thins out a bit in the spring and summer months, but they're still pretty floofy. They can exhibit many Chiropterian traits, such as bat-like wings, longer canines that can be seen when their mouth is closed, horns of varying styles and sizes, and bone-like plates of furless thickened skin. Their claws are large but a bit dull. Their muzzle is a bit shorter than thicker than the typical Elfane.

Anala Elfane have a heightened sense of smell, allowing them to hunt well. Despite sporting Chiropterian wings, they don't tend to do much flying, preferring to stay on the ground. Their claws are great for digging and can grip hardened materials, such as rocks, tree bark, or thick skinned creatures with ease, but they're not especially useful for tearing flesh. They're great long distance runners and climbers, but poor at swimming and flying.

Anala Elfane are highly emotive, which can be good or bad, depending on what they're feeling. They tend to be impulsive, loud and strong willed creatures. Well adjusted Anala are confident, enduring, passionate, protective and very outgoing. Ill adjusted Anala can be highly defensive, combative, destructive, stubborn, vindictive and envious. Their personalities tend to be intense, which some find refreshing and open, while others are intimidated and off put by their brash nature.

Anala Elfane hunt in groups with the Adhira Elfane. Adhira use their small stature and speed to focus on smaller or quicker creatures, while the Anala go for big game. Their stronger bodies allow them to hunt creatures larger than themselves. They tend to employ a stalking technique to get the best angle on their prey, but are well prepared for long distance chases. They're not especially fast, however, so if their initial ambush fails, their next tactic is to hope they can chase their prey to exhaustion.

Adhira Elfane can wield electric magic. Lower skilled Adhira can create heat in their surroundings, generate sparks and static electricity. More skilled Elfane will be able to control lightning or create it from nothing. They're associated with the Manipura chakra and their lotus has 10 petals. Their primary color is yellow, secondary color is red.

Adhira Elfane are some of the thinnest Elfane. They have lithe bodies, short fur (with the exception of their tail fur) and light bodies. Their eyesight is better than the typical Elfane. They produce excess saliva which is venomous to many species, but not Elfane. Their claws are long and well adjusted for climbing trees. Adhira take on Chiropterian elements in their design. Their wings are bat-like and they can sometimes sport horns or bone-like plates on their body.

They're generally swift movers, full of energy and have a lot of willpower. They're able to expel short bursts of energy for extreme speed, but will need to rest to prevent overheating before they can expel further energy. Adhira Elfane love to climb high and dash from branch to branch or quickly swoop down on their prey. They are proficient in movement on the ground, in trees and in the air. They're not the best swimmers, though.

Adhira Elfane have a wide variety of personality traits. A well adjusted Adhira can be ambitious, extroverted, energetic, confident, competitive, bold, daring and are real go-getters. Adhira that are emotionally troubled are prone to jealousy, fear, foolishness, delusion, disgust, treachery and shame. Impulsive behavior is common in Adhira Elfane, whether they're well adjusted or not.

The role of the Adhira Elfane in their communities is hunter. They partner up with the Anala to hunt food for the Elfane to eat. Their speed is useful in catching swift prey, such as birds and cervine creatures, where as the Anala focus on bulkier prey. Their hook-like claws are great for snatching up smaller prey, and their toxic saliva aids in taking down prey that is too large or quick to otherwise grab up.

Vayu Elfane have control over the air. Properly trainer Vayu can influence how the wind blows. Truly skilled Elfane can create weather disturbances, such as as tornado. They're associated with the Sahasrara chakra, and their lotus sports a thousand petals. Their primary color is purple, secondary color gold.

Vayu Elfane have lithe, thin bodies with Aetherian traits. Rarely, those that develop their abilities quickly early on (in childhood) can grow a second, smaller set of wings lower on their back than their primary wings, which allows for greater flying power. Their fur is short on most of their body, including the tail. However, they have long, wispy strands of fur on the tips of their ears and tail. They tend to grow these flowing, longer strands of fur on their elbows and legs as well. Their fur is sleek and lightweight. Their claws are fairly thin and somewhat sharp. They're not great for climbing, but serve well for gripping flesh or soft material.

Vayu Elfane are fairly swift runners and adept at flying, preferring to be up high. While not especially great at climbing, they will often land in the treetops to scout the environment, or just rest. Vayu are highly respected in their community and have a closer connection to the deities than the other elements. They have excellent sight and hearing. Vayu highly value integrity and intelligence, so they will collect all information available and ponder before coming to any sort of decision. They feel it is important to remember the past in order to make better decisions for the future.

Vayu Elfane tend to be calm and collected. They're thoughtful and not prone to making hasty decisions. They're graceful, righteous and noble by nature. Well adjusted Vayu at their best are motivated, passionate, dedicated, friendly, fair and in control of their emotions. This means that they are not prone to outbursts or flamboyant displays of emotion, however, they are not emotionless! Vayu that are emotionally unbalanced can be stubborn, obsessive, overly strict, uptight, and lacking compassion.

Due to their calculating nature, Vayu are the upkeepers of the law and settlers of dispute. It's rare that Elfane break the few rules that are set, but in the event that it happens, the Vayu elders are called upon to settle the matter. More often, they deal with squabbles between groups or individuals. If you were to be scolded by an Elfane, it'd most likely be a Vayu, telling you to mind your manners or stick to your community duties. They ensure that everyone is doing what they should be doing. They also may easily communicate with the deities, if there is a reason to disturb them.

Sita Elfane do not have an elemental ability. They are the result of two different elements breeding, resulting in an incompatible offspring. They do not have an associated chakra, lotus, or secondary color. Their primary color is gray.

The Sita are about as average in appearance as an Elfane can be. Their bodies are neither particularly bulky nor thin. Their fur is medium length, with the exception of the long fur on the tail. They're average height with typical claws. They're not especially skilled or bad at swimming, flying (if they have wings), climbing or running, but these can be improved on an individual basis if trained. By default, they do not have any Chiropterian or Aetherian design traits, but this can be influenced by their parents. If both parents have Aetherian traits, it is likely that the Sita offspring will too. If one parent has Aetherian traits and one has Chiropterian traits, it is most likely that the Sita will present neither, but it is possible to take from one of the parents.

Sita Elfane have some of the best senses of all of the Elfane. They also tend to have a bit more physical strength than Elfane with similar bodytypes, due to their lack of magic. Most Elfane rely on their magic and spend most of their time honing those abilities. The Sita do not have this distraction, so they have more time to develop their physical strength. This physical strength advantage is based on the individual Elfane, however. A lazy Sita will not be especially strong. They are fairly intelligent however, and can be quite crafty. They're the most likely to create crafts from found objects, and are some of the most proficient barterers in the community.

Sita Elfane are not shunned by their communities, but the Elfane prefer to keep elemental purity. This can lead to some tension between certain individuals. Sita Elfane often feel inferior to the others, and this can manifest in their personality through jealousy, or competitive or perfectionist traits. Ill adjusted Sita are very prone to depression, anxiety, treachery, reclusiveness, aggression, resentment and generalized anger. Well adjusted Sita tend to be ambitious, curious, playful, inventive, and thoughtful. They strive to better themselves and are prone to showing off a bit if they've done something they're especially proud of.

The role of the Sita Elfane is to prepare and distribute meals for the communities. Their heightened sense of taste and smell gives them an edge in being able to distinguish fresh and ripe foods from those that are of lesser quality.
