I have been nominated to take part in the International Scholar Laureate Program. This program would send me to Australia for a week, from May 17, 2015 until May 24, 2015, to take part in a Business and Entrepreneurship Delegation in Melbourne and Sydney. This is a valuable, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to take part in international business practices, meeting a variety of people and learning valuable leadership skills that will assist me after I've earned my degree. The program itself costs approximately $3,300 and I am responsible for my own airfare, with a round trip flight costing $2,000+. I also will need incidental money in the event of baggage fees, extra meals and any incidental purchases I may need to make which are not covered by the program. Any donations I may receive would go a long way toward making this trip a possibility. I will need to have the majority of the money by mid-January to have time to enroll in the program and ensure that I will be able to attend.
