Should I get a new account?
Well, I haven't gotten any work done but I do have some time off the next few days, so I'll see about finally getting to work on that reboot.
In the meantime, I wanted to ask a question about something I've been thinking a lot about lately.
Should I get a new account? I've noticed, for one reason or another, a lot of people often get a new account. The number one reason, as far as I can tell, is because they didn't like the name on her original account (Hey, FA? Here's a thought; allow people to change their usernames. Might save server space on abandoned and deactivated accounts. And how about being able to make art and favorites collections? If you need funding to hire additional programmers, just start a kickstarter! You'll be funded within a day, I guarantee).
Ahem, sorry about that random rant. In any case, I can't help but think I would get more followers (and, therefore, more critiques, which is what I really want in the long run) if I had a more "professional" name. I know that sounds silly on this site of all places but I can't help but think that maybe a name with numbers is in sounds kind of "noobish"; I only added a ten because "Namelessone" was already taken.
This is especially important since many people would follow an artist no matter what his or her username is but I can imagine that for just a writer, numbers might be an instant sub killer. After all, it's not like they can just see if I'm a good writer or not; they have to read first and might not want to if they see what looks like a noobish name.
And usernames do matter. I won't say who it is because I don't want to create any drama, but there is a person who is good at drawing and normally does post things I would like but I refuse to follow him/her because of his disgustingly juvenile username (actually, I think calling it juvenile is an insult to all juveniles; some are more mature than that).
So, what do you guys think? If I do make a new account, don't worry; I'll post both a journal entry as well as a little picture with some text to let you guys know. It's just that since now I'm striking out on my own as far as writing goes, I might as well get a new account to better reflect that.

FA+

But thanks for letting me know. I know most of us are all newbies and mere hobbyists in the long run but that's no excuse to at least try to do well.
